Mike Bare, Bare International, Inc.

Michael Bare is a modern day pioneer of the Mystery Shopping Industry. It began in 1987 when he and his wife (Dale) founded Restaurant & Hotel Services, now known as Bare International. Today BARE is one of the largest global organizations specializing in Mystery Customer Research, Audits and Customer Service Measurement, for all industry segments. BARE has its corporate office in Fairfax, VA, with other business offices in Belgium, India, China, Brazil, Chile, Budapest and Singapore. From these offices, services are provided in over 137 countries, with a staff of more than 250, speaking 32 different languages.
 
In 1997, Mike co-founded the Mystery Shopping Providers Association, now a global association of similar companies committed to the consistency and quality of the industry deliverable. Mike is a member of the prestigious ISHC, (International Society of Hospitality Consultants. Always looking at new opportunities, as well ways to revolutionize customer service training, in 2001 Mike founded Video Eyes LLC, a firm specializing in the use of hidden video for the staff self-training. In 2009, he co-founded Optimum Audits, specializing in retail center audits for developers.
 

Rich Bradley, ath Power Consulting

Rich Bradley has a 25 year history as a senior corporate executive leading new launches, turn-arounds and other business opportunities to optimal success in various industries, particularly in Sports, Entertainment and Customer Experience. He has held executive positions with 5 television networks, 4 professional sports teams and several other businesses while working directly at times with American billionaires H. Wayne Huizenga, Charles Dolan, John Henry, Bud Paxson and John Rigas. Rich first learned of mystery shopping while reading an article in Smart Money in 1996 while traveling on business as SVP/GM of FOX Sports Florida. After completing and submitting his first shop (on time!), he had no idea that nearly 15 years later he would enter the customer experience industry full-time and serve on the MSPA Board, first as Legislative Chair, then Treasurer, President and now as MSPA Americas Immediate Past President. Rich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio-TV-Film and a Juris Doctor, both from Temple University and serves on several non-profit boards in the Orlando area, including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Florida, where he is the current Chair.

Stacey Hansson, FDF Restaurant Brandz

With over 30 years of experience in the Business Operations industry, Stacey understands the importance of a positive customer experience. Currently the Senior Vice-President of FDF Restaurant Brandz, including Ricky’s All Day Grill, Café and Country restaurants, Stacey is responsible for the Restaurant Operations for 89 (and growing) restaurants. In this role, she is constantly striving to attract, retain and build a strong customer base, which anyone in the restaurant business knows is not easy.
 
Stacey is continually working to raise the bar on brand and operations standards through ensuring franchisee compliance, system improvements and enhancements, optimizing menu management and effective training programs. And none of this could be possible without her commitment to building a passionate and motivated team internally to make it all happen.

Russ Hollrah is an attorney with a national practice dedicated to employee-benefits, employment taxes and the application of those laws to independent professionals and contract workers. His clients include both the companies for which independent professionals work, as well as the companies that engage and refer or assign them to other companies. His practice, Hollrah Leyden LLC, has been MSPA Americas's legal and legislative counsel, focusing on issues relating to independent contractors, private investigator issues, and other industry-specific concerns, since 2005.

Over the past 25 years, Mike Mershimer, the founding principal of The Mershimer Group, and President & COO of HS Brands International has designed, managed, and consulted on loss prevention programs for worldwide food service, franchise and retail brands including Bob’s Stores, Baskin-Robbins, Arby’s, GNC, Dunkin’ Donuts, American Greetings, Friendly’s Ice Cream, Bath and Body Works, Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, and many others. Mershimer’s proactive programs are meant to promote Brand Integrity, and reduce inventory shrinkage and other losses suffered by retailers and restaurant chains. Tom Mills, HS Brands International

Tom joined Howard Services in 1993, became a partner in 2000 and sole owner in 2005 of what is now HS Brands International. In 1999 Tom was a founding member of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association. He designed the first MSPA website, created the Banner Ad Program (the first revenue generating service), was Volunteer of the Year in 2002, assisted in the creation of Shoppers Silver Certification, created the Shopper Gold DVD Certification, was inducted into the MSPA Hall of Fame in 2005, served as Vice President in 2006 and President in 2007. Tom went on to serve for 12 years on the board and 2 years on the Global Board.

In 2000, Tom created the mystery shopping industries’ first web based software platform, SASSIE. SASSIE is now the most widely used mystery shopping software in the world. In 2004 he acquired a Private Investigators License in Nevada and became the first mystery shopping company in the US that could legally mystery shop in all 50 States. Since 2008 Tom has been in charge of growing HS Brands globally, which he has done by adding to the Boston and Las Vegas offices with Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, Nassau, Milan, London, Istanbul, Beirut, Bangalore, Delhi and Hong Kong.
 

W. Colin Moore, The University of British Columbia 

Colin is food service leader with a proven track record growing and optimizing results in public and private sector hospitality organizations. Colin has worked with numerous global brands including; Pepsico, Starbucks, Yum Restaurants, UBC  and The Walt Disney Company delivering significant sales, profit, customer satisfaction and employee growth in all positions.

Colin is currently Past President for the Canadian Colleges and Universities Food Service Association (CCUFSA). At UBC Colin is responsible for the strategic leadership and successful operation of over 40 locations including: 3 Residence Dining Halls, 25 Retail Operations, Central Kitchen, Scholars & Sage Catering, and 2 full-service restaurants. Food Services is an important part of Student Housing and Hospitality Services at UBC serving over 20,000 customers a day. Colin is a wellbeing and sustainability leader who champions a comprehensive framework of Social, Environmental and Economic projects. UBC Food services proudly promotes their Food Vision & Values that ensure foods are high quality, nutritious, and sustainable. UBC takes pride in supporting many campus initiatives and student events throughout the year. Paul received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and attended Nankai University in Tianjin, China for a number of years. Paul is an accomplished Senior Executive with a sales & marketing background, website & mobile platform development experience, and consults on legislative and regulatory issues. Paul currently is the President of Secret Shopper® and is a Director on the MSPA Americas Board with legislative responsibilities.

Charles Stiles owned, managed, and grew numerous retail gourmet food and gift shops with world-class customer service. In 1996, his success led to the creation of one of the most respected and comprehensive mystery shopping and business evaluation companies in North America. In 2014, BES acquired two of the most notable brands in the industry (Customer 1st and BMA). They service a growing cadre of national and international clients, such as Disney, Microsoft, YMCA, and many more.

As the host of Food Network’s “Mystery Diners”, he continues to elevate the customer service evaluation industry by bringing awareness to the importance of customer service to business success. Charles speaks nationally on customer service and culture building topics to leaders and the media. Charles has been an active member of the Mystery Shopper Providers Association (MSPA), since 2001. Over the years, he’s served on many MSPA committees, including Chair of the Public Relations Committee. 
 

Ryan Vasso, Reply Pro

Ryan is the CEO of Reply Pro and an online reviews expert. He founded and built  the company into a successful, world-wide reputation marketing platform.


 

Cameron Watt, Intouch Insight

Cameron Watt is the President & CEO of In-Touch Insight Systems whose brands include Service Intelligence, GCS Field Research, EventMatrix and OpsMatrix. He has experience in both large and small businesses having held senior positions at PepsiCo, YUM Brands, Mars and Unilever in addition to several entrepreneurial efforts including ownership of a restaurant and a convenience store. Cameron holds Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration degrees. He is a previous board member of MSPA Americas.
 

Brad Worthley, Brad Worthley International

Brad Worthley is an accomplished business consultant with over 43 years of management experience. He is also an internationally acclaimed leadership, customer service and motivational expert who has trained hundreds of thousands of people in a wide range of industries throughout the world since 1991. He has authored four books and produced numerous training videos and audio programs with experts such as Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, John Maxwell and others. As an expert in his field, he teaches organizations of all sizes how to consistently build and retain both customer and employee loyalty by changing their culture and not just their people. Brad was also past President of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association in 2002/03.  He was awarded the “Volunteer of the Year Award” in 2001, as well as being awarded the highest honor in the industry by his peers in 2002, which is the “Hall of Fame Award.”
